Metrics

What each number on the Metrics page means and how it is counted: runs, run time, pushed lines, exceptions and the last Stripe webhook received.

On this page

The Metrics page shows the operational health of your workspace. It counts things and times them. It never shows usage values or money amounts. Everyone in the workspace can open it.

Most numbers look back over the last 30 days, counted from the moment you open the page. The page is calculated fresh each time you load it.

The five numbers

TileMain numberLine underneath
Runs, last 30 daysClose runs started in the last 30 days, manual and scheduled. How many of those failed.
Median run timeThe middle run time, in seconds, of runs started in the last 30 days. Our target: under 60 seconds for 30 contracts over 12 months.
Lines pushed, 30 daysLines pushed to your billing system in the last 30 days.Approved lines whose last push failed, at any time.
Exceptions opened / resolvedExceptions raised in the last 30 days, and exceptions resolved in the last 30 days.Exceptions open right now, of any age.
Last Stripe webhookWhen the most recent Stripe webhook arrived, in UTC.Webhook events that failed to process and haven't succeeded since.

Runs and run time

A run counts on the day it started. Run time is from start to finish. The median is the middle value: half the runs were faster, half slower. Runs still in progress aren't timed. A run that failed still counts in the total, and in the "failed" figure.

The 60-second figure is a target we use for our own performance work, not a promise for every workspace.

Lines pushed

The main number counts lines by the time they were pushed, whether they've been invoiced since or not. The line underneath counts approved lines that still carry a push error. Those lines also have an open push_failed exception. Fix the cause and push again, and they drop out of the count.

Exceptions

"Opened" counts exceptions by the date they were first raised. "Resolved" counts exceptions by the date they were last resolved, including those closed automatically by a later run or a successful push. The two don't have to match: an exception opened 40 days ago and resolved last week counts as resolved but not opened. "Open now" counts every unresolved exception, Review, Data and Info together. See exceptions.

Last Stripe webhook

This is the newest webhook event TrueUpp received from your connected Stripe account. If you finalize an invoice in Stripe and this time doesn't move, the webhook isn't reaching TrueUpp, and pushed lines will stay "Pushed". See connecting Stripe and troubleshooting.

The line underneath counts events that arrived but failed to process. Stripe retries those, and each one drops out of the count once it succeeds. "none yet" means no event has arrived.
